Following an Adobe Women’s FA Cup Quarter-Final victory over Liverpool last weekend, City return to Barclays Women’s Super League action as they face off against Tottenham Hotspur at Brisbane Road.

Foster provided an update on the fitness of the Foxes, announcing the return of several players, though forward O’Brien is out of contention this weekend having picked up an injury while with England’s Under-23s.

Deanne [Rose] is back from her time playing for Canada so that will boost our squad.

“Shannon [O’Brien] is a no, she won’t be ready for this weekend,” the First Team Assistant Manager announced. “Unfortunately she isn’t quite there yet, but we’ll have to see how she progresses. “Missy [Goodwin] is back in training so she’ll be back available for this weekend’s game.”

Canadian winger Rose is back at Belvoir Drive after spending the last few weeks across the pond with her home nation, who were knocked out of the recent CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup Semi-Finals by USA.

“Lena [Petermann] is back and is building up match fitness,” Foster continued. “Deanne [Rose] is back from her time playing for Canada so that will boost our squad as well as we look to keep the momentum going against Spurs.”
