Chris Davies drops Best XI Reveal Ahead Of Birmingham City’s “Brutal” Run, It’s Supper Good…

Chris Davies now knows what Birmingham City’s best XI is – but he admits rotation will be key to coping with the brutal run of matches after the international break.

Blues have enjoyed a strong start to the season and a number of players have nailed down their places in the starting line-up. Ryan Allsop has won the goalkeeping battle, the back four and midfield two virtually pick themselves, and Willum Willumsson and Jay Stansfield are certainties in attack.

Keshi Anderson has taken his chance on the left flank and Davies has picked Alfie May more often than not. Davies says he has a preferred line-up in mind.

“I’ve got a pretty clear idea on who the best XI is but it’s a case of rotating and moving players around because of the amount of games as well,” said Davies. “Everyone is going to be needed during that period.”

Starting at Shrewsbury on Saturday, Blues face a minimum of 17 games in 70 days up to February 1. With two League One games still to be rearranged, and the possibility of additional cup fixtures, the likelihood is that it will be more than 17.

Davies will have to utilise his squad during the next two months to ensure Blues continue to set the pace in League One.
