Brighton and Hove Albion have some key contract and transfer decisions to make this summer. Roberto De Zerbi’s 10th placed team still have a chance of qualifying for European football once again, which would be a remarkable achievement considering the number of injuries Albion sustained this term. This Saturday Brighton travel to Burnley ahead of a testing run-in that includes Man City, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Man United and Chelsea. But planning is already taking place for next term and beyond, with the welcome news that talented teenager Jack Hinshelwood signed a new contract until June 2028. Hinshelwood will be at the Amex for the long term but there could also be a number of players heading for the exit. Here’s seven Seagulls who could leave this summer…
1. Adam Lallana
The experienced midfielder has hinted this season could be his last as a player. A coaching role is a possibility – either at Brighton or even Liverpool
2. Ansu Fati

3. Deniz Undav
The striker has been excellent on loan at Stuttgart. He has stated his desire to make the move permanent.
4. Mo Dahoud
Joined on a free last summer and left in January on loan to Stuttgart. A move that just didn’t work
5. Steven Alzate
The talented midfielder has been on loan at Standard Liege. His contract expries this summer and likely to leave.
6. Pascal Gross
The German has been a massive player for Brighton this term. He has just a year left on his contract this summer and has spoken previously of returning home for family reasons and his love of the Bundesliga. One more season?
7. Joel Veltman
The experienced Netherlands defender has just one-year left on his contract this summer. A trusted performer but Hinshelwood and Lamptey can play right back and the 32-year-old could look for a new challenge. Interesting call to be made here by player and club!
8. Adam Webster
Another one to keep an eye on this summer. The 29-year-old central defender is a valuable member of the squad but has struggled for fitness and game time. Contracted to June 2026 but he may seek regular football elsewhere
9. Jeremy Sarmiento
The Ecuador playmaker is making an impact at Ipswich and may look to make his loan permanent – especially if the Tractor Boys are promoted
10. Abdallah Sima
The Senegal star has impressed at Rangers and they are keen for another loan or a permanent deal. He has a year remaining on his contract this summer.
11. Kjell Scherpen
The Netherlands keeper has not played for his club Sturm Graz since December due to injury. Difficult to see him back at Brighton next term and another loan looks likely
12. James Milner
The 38-year-old has struggled with injuries and is out of contract this summer
