RCN Noticias claim that Cristian Romero made a ‘derogatory gesture’ towards the Colombia fans after Argentina’s 2-1 loss at Barranquilla on Friday.

Colombia vs Argentina was not without controversy

Colombia overcame the Copa America and World Champions thanks to a controversial 60th-minute penalty, which was converted by James Rodriguez.

The protestations from the Argentine camp about the penalty decision continued after the final whistle, with Romero even picking up a yellow card for his complaints.

This means that the Tottenham man is suspended for the World Cup qualifier against Venezuela next month.
