Birmingham City have recruited gamechanger who can give them transfer edge
Birmingham City are benefitting from the expertise of Tom Brady’s aide Alex Guerrero
Birmingham City players present and future are set to benefit from the expertise, implemented by Knighthead and Tom Brady, of Alex Guerrero and his team – and chairman Tom Wagner considers his influence at the Elite Performance and Innovation Centre in Blues’ Henley-in-Arden training base to be a ‘game changer’.
Guerrero has worked with NFL great Brady for almost 20 years and has been credited as a figure who has played a significant role in the longevity and the success of former New England Patriots star Brady, who won seven Super Bowl titles and claimed five Super Bowl MVP awards in his distinguished career.
With Brady having come on board along with Knighthead last summer after the Blues takeover, he has turned to close friend and trainer Guerrero, who specialises in alternative medicine and pseudoscience. Wagner believes that having somebody such as Guerrero on Blues’ side, who can bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and skill to the players as they compete throughout the season, will also help to attract prospective signings.
“It’s an area that I, and the leadership team, believe deeply in,” Wagner told BluesTV. “We’re highly confident that the work of Alex and his team will have a substantial impact on the performance of our players on the pitch, the longevity of their careers and ultimately their own personal trajectory for success.
“I think it’s going to be a game changer – not just for this season, but down the road in how players look at coming to Birmingham City to play football, because they recognise that they will take the very best care of them, in the entirety of professional football.”
