Anthony Elanga makes claim about Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White
Tricky winger Anthony Elanga has been singing the praises of Nottingham Forest teammate Morgan Gibbs-White.
Earlier this season, some Forest fans and pundits were suggesting that Gibbs-White needed to offer more.
In fairness, given that Gibbs-White has scored three goals for the Reds all season, perhaps making more goal contributions is something that he can work on.
However, his work rate is something that has never come into question and Elanga has paid tribute to that aspect of his game.
He told the newsmen “I’m pleased for him, you know, he’s someone that I don’t think gets enough credit. He works so hard on and off the ball and he’s just a pleasure to play with. I’m just so pleased for him.”
Gibbs-White scored from an assist by Forest winger Elanga against Manchester United last week and yesterday he scored again in the FA Cup.
Gibbs-White is a seriously special player
No Forest player has created more goalscoring opportunities this season than Gibbs-White, according to netsport, and he looks to be enjoying himself.
When Nuno Espirito Santo left Wolves, Gibbs-White sent him a classy message and it would seem that he’s enjoying working under the head coach.
The scary aspect of the 23-year-old is that there is more to come from him and hopefully, Espirito Santo can keep utilising him in his favoured position.
Elanga is right with his comments. Gibbs-White perhaps doesn’t get enough credit and long may his current form continue for Forest.
The Reds will also hope that Elanga isn’t out for too long. He missed yesterday’s game with Blackpool and his link-up with Gibbs-White will be integral for Forest this season.
