Hull City, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers keen on 22-year-old midfielder

Hull City, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers are interested in Dundee midfielder Josh Mulligan, according to a report by the Daily Record.

The Championship trio are keeping tabs on the Scottish Premiership man ahead of the summer. He is out of contract at the end of the season and is due to become a free agent as things stand

Mulligan, 22, has been a key player for Dundee over recent times and they could face a battle to keep hold of him later this year. He has made 31 appearances in all competitions to date in this campaign, 25 of which have come in the league, and he has chipped in with five assists.

In this latest update regarding his situation, the Daily Record claim he has emerged on the radar of Hull City, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers. It remains to be seen at this stage whether the trio will make an official approach.

Mulligan has been on the books at Dundee for his whole career to date.

He has risen up through their academy ranks and was a regular for them at various different youth levels

The former Scotland youth international was handed his debut back in 2019 in a match against St Mirren.

Mulligan was loaned out to Cove Rangers and Peterhead to get some experience under his belt.

He has since become a useful asset for Dundee and has played 114 matches altogether for them to date, finding the net on six occasions.

The Dundee-born man penned his last extension back in 2023 and told the club website at the time: “It is a great feeling being able to extend my contract with Dundee Football Club. I am delighted to continue the chance to improve and learn on and off the pitch for this club and have the privilege to wear the shirt this season. This club has been a massive part of my life since a young age and it was an easy decision where I wanted to play.”

What now for Hull City, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers target Josh Mulligan?

Time will tell whether Dundee will be able to retain Mulligan’s services beyond this term.

Hull City are in a relegation battle and it is hard for them to plan for the summer when they don’t know what league they will be in.
