Nottingham Forest
A Nottingham Forest player who has played just 178 minutes this season is on the verge of departing.
Divock Origi is now nearing the Nottingham Forest exit after a nightmare spell back in the Premier League.
This is according to Football Italia.
So, what is now being said about Origi and his Forest future? Let’s take a closer look…
Divock Origi
set to leave Nottingham Forest
Well, it would appear as though the end is nigh and in truth, it never really got going for Origi at Forest.
The Reds landed the player from AC Milan on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day.
He’s struggled to get into the Forest team and has started just two games, featuring for 178 minutes in total.
Now, according to Football Italia, the end is getting close for Origi at Forest – with MLS clubs now queuing up to sign him.
The 28-year-old has been abject at best since joining Forest and ultimately he will go down a waste of wages.
Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo will hope to add more attacking options to his squad before next Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Forest must learn from disastrous transfer
On the face things, this looked like it might prove a decent deal for Forest but Origi just hasn’t really cut it.
When Espirito Santo first came to the club it seemed as though he might utilise Origi, starting him against Bournemouth.
Since then, he’s been injured, however, and ultimately Forest need someone a little more reliable.
The Reds are still learning when it comes to acting and behaving like a Premier League football club.
Forest leave a lot to be desired when it comes to the recruitment and they will have to learn from the disaster that has been the signing of Origi.
Now, the challenge is to sign another striker – and one capable of making an impact on the first team in the coming months.
