Well, it’s hard to find anyone associated with Forest who isn’t raving about Gibbs-White at the moment, given his brilliant form of late.
The 23-year-old followed up his stunning goal against Manchester United with another cracker of a strike in the FA Cup against Blackpool.
Prutton now believes that Nuno Espirito Santo is getting the best out of Gibbs-White and he’s a useful manager for the Forest man.
He told the Forest Focus podcast: “It’s a great goal. It’s a wonderful goal and it’s something that we all know that Morgan (Gibbs-White) is capable of.
“I think the boss has come in and he seems to understand what he wants from someone like Morgan. Sometimes, as we say, a new voice to listen to what Morgan wants from the team and what the team want from him can do the player and the squad the world of good.
“Again, taking into account the team they were playing, he should be able to unlock a team like Blackpool but broadly the consistency has been the main bugbear, which I do get. Hopefully, there is that sense that Morgan is getting back to what we know he’s capable of.”
Gibbs-White is a special player
The Reds have done some really poor business in the transfer market over the years but signing Gibbs-White is one of the best things Forest have done in a long time.
Last season, he scored five times and claimed eight assists as Forest survived relegation in the Premier League.
This time around things have been a bit more of a struggle and he’s sat with three goals and three assists at the moment.
That said, he is catching the eye. It was claimed earlier this week that Tottenham had been to a Forest game to watch Gibbs-White in action.
His best form has come under Espirito Santo and the decision to put him back through the middle after Steve Cooper utilised him out wide.
The scary thing is that there is still more to come from Gibbs-White and it’s exciting to see what the player can go onto achieve at Forest – and later in his career.
