Nottingham Forest
Today, Forest is anticipated to face charges related to financial violations.
Nottingham Forest are expecting today (Monday 15 January) to hear that they have been referred to an independent commission over breaching rules designed to keep Premier League transfer spending in check.
Under the rules, Premier League Clubs can make a rolling loss of £105m over three seasons. Forest would be limited to losses of £61m – £13m for 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons when they were in Sky Bet Championship, plus £35m for last season.
Although Forest are thought to have prepared a strong defence case, if they are found guilty of breaking the rules, a fine or points deduction will follow.
