Nuno baffled that something unfortunate keeps happening

Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is now baffled by the current injury situation at the City Ground.

The boss has been speaking to the club’s official YouTube channel.

So, what has Forest incumbent Espirito Santo had to say about the current situation? Let’s take a closer look…

Nuno Espirito Santo now concerned by Forest injury situation

The Portuguese head coach has made these comments when being quizzed about his available players for tomorrow’s game with Manchester United.

Ibrahim Sangare, Ola Aina and Willy Boly have all returned from the African Cup of Nations with injuries.

For Forest supporters, given the team’s record with injuries since promotion, this probably won’t come as much of a surprise.

However, for Espirito Santo, it would appear as though he’s now left scratching his head over the Forest situation.

Espirito Santo told the official Forest YouTube channel: “No, unfortunately, nothing has changed. We still have problems with the injured players and they’re still the same. We hope they will be back as soon as possible.

“It’s something that we’re concerned about it’s happening too much and it’s creating a lot of problems in terms of options for us. We are all asking why, this is our main question, why is it happening to us.”

Forest desperate for a break on the injury front

It never rains it pours in this sense at the City Ground and frankly it’s getting beyond a joke.

Sympathy is hard to refuse Espirito Santo given that since he was given the Forest job, he’s never been able to call upon a fully fit squad.

The AFCON players returning were supposed to give the team a lift but now they’re all injured which is deeply frustrating.

Espirito Santo won’t go looking to use this situation has an excuse and he will crack on the best he can, looking to get Forest up the league.

However, it would be nice to see the head coach get a fully fit group to choose from between now and the end of the season.
