Brandon Aguilera spotted training with Forest senior squad
Since Nuno Espirito Santo came to the club, it’s been a clean slate for several players at Forest – and that might bode well for Aguilera.
It was claimed shortly after the Portuguese manager was appointed that during his time at Wolves, Espirito Santo didn’t care much for youth academies.
That doesn’t appear to be a major concern right now though, with Aguilera clearly earning a call-up ahead of today’s FA Cup clash against Blackpool.
The 20-year-old gem has been spotted on several of the training photos that have been shared on the official website and he might make the squad today.
Aguilera is a Costa Rica international and signed for Forest in the summer of 2022. He’s waiting patiently for a chance to shine and has so far made one Carabao Cup appearance.
Aguilera can be City Ground star in the future
With Forest searching for new signings, Aguilera earned a Forest opportunity during the pre-season tour to Spain and he didn’t disappoint.
On that occasion, Moussa Niakhate called Aguilera a ‘baller’ and it would appear that he’s set for a bright future.
Aguilera could get some Forest minutes today. Espirito Santo might look at a few experimental things against League One opponents in the FA Cup.
The 20-year-old is already a full international with his country and Aguilera could enjoy a bright future at the City Ground too.
He’s scored three goals and claimed two assists for the B-Team this season and he’s certainly on an upward trajectory as a player.
