Nottigham forest take a serious decision on a star player
According to netsport latest news, the Catalan giants are going to try and land the Real Betis star in the January transfer window. He was a wanted man in the summer and will be out of contract in 2024.
Rodriguez has been with Betis since 2020. He signed for the club from Mexican top-flight outfit America and has helped the La Liga side win the Copa del Rey during his time at the club.
They could be facing a fight to keep hold of him now though. Forest felt they had a good chance of signing him in the summer; whilst Barcelona will provide a seriously attractive proposition.
Rodriguez is an integral part of the Betis team right now. He’s played 149 times for the club and he’s played in all five games they have played during 2023/24.
It’s previously been said by Spanish journalist Jonas Giaever that Rodriguez has quality. He’s called him ‘rugged and tough’ and also praised his decisive nature to tackling.
In Sangare, however, Forest have now added those qualities. Furthermore, they also have Ryan Yates who can provide some of those qualities over the coming season.
Forest were perhaps right to target Rodriguez as a cheaper alternative to Sangare. Now they’ve signed the Ivorian, however, it’s hard to imagine Forest going full steam ahead to sign the 29-cap star in January.
