Gibbs-White man of the moment
It’s hard to keep adding superlatives to the long list that describe the brilliance of Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White.
The Reds player scored the match-winning goal last night as Forest beat Manchester United at the City Ground.
Gibbs-White was at it from the moment the teams came onto the pitch. He was spotted rallying the players in the pre-match huddle and produced a performance to be proud of.
His goal was simply outstanding and left Andre Onana with absolutely no chance in the United goal.
Gibbs-White gets vast praise for Forest efforts
It’s fair to say that the Forest squad couldn’t possibly hold Gibbs-White in any higher regard.
After yesterday’s game, the Reds player received several messages on his Instagram post from his teammates.
Moussa Niakhate was first up and he simply compared the player to the legendary Zinedine Zidane!
Anthony Elanga wrote the words ‘Link-up’, in a nod towards the two working together for Gibbs-White to score his goal.
Perhaps a surprise message came from Diogo Jota, with the Liverpool star posting the applause emoji on his Instagram.
Finally, Ola Aina had some praise for Gibbs-White and he simply said: “He’s magic!”
Gibbs-White was sublime against Manchester United
It’s no secret that Gibbs-White was a Manchester United fan when he was growing up as a boy.
His favourite players were Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes, with the youngster always keen to learn from the pair.
Both players might have been fond of his finish yesterday, with Gibbs-White lashing home a stunning effort from the edge of the box.
The 23-year-old will be under no illusions that he needs to score more and register more assists if he’s to really kick on.
Scoring against United should give Gibbs-White some more confidence, however, and hopefully, the Forest man can kick on now.
