City Ground painting goes down a storm with Forest fans

A painting of the City Ground by a Newark artist has generated a massive positive reaction from Nottingham Forest fans online.

A post containing the painting has been liked more than 1,400 times on the Official Nottingham Forest Supporters Club Facebook page – and has also generated several hundred more reactions on other social media pages.

Danny Robinson, the artist behind the popular image of the Trentside stadium, said: “I was asked to paint the commission by a local lady called Leanne as a Christmas present for her boyfriend Gary Pollard, director of local Newark business AGP Building Supplies.
