One Leicester City youngster has returned to the club after his loan deal was cancelled.

The Foxes are busy looking to recruit in the summer transfer window and Leicester have been linked with Woyo Coulibaly amongst others.

There’s also talk of outgoings as Hamza Choudhury looks set to join Sheffield United this week.

Several players moved on in the summer, both permanently and out on loan, to get some much-needed minutes.

However, for one Foxes star out on loan, his move has come to an end early.

Sammy Braybrooke returns to Leicester City after loan deal cancelled

Whilst there’s talk of Tom Cannon returning to Leicester following interest from Championship clubs, Sammy Braybrooke is already on his way back to the club.

Braybrooke is one of the Leicester academy’s brightest propsects and had been tipped for big things before suffering a long-term injury.

The midfielder, who has captained England at youth level, did go out on loan to Dundee FC but has featured sporadically, playing just eight times.

Dundee confirmed the Foxes had recalled Braybrooke, saying: “Dundee Football Club can confirm that midfielder Sammy Braybrooke has left the club after being recalled from his season-long loan by his parent club Leicester City.

“Sammy joined The Dee on the 28th August 2024 and during his time played eight times for the Dark Blues.

“Everyone at the club would like to thank Sammy for his service and contribution to the club and wish him well for the rest of his career

Can Sammy Braybrooke play for Leicester City this season?

Rules state that players can only represent two clubs throughout a domestic season.

As Braybrooke has only played competitively for Dundee this season, the 20-year-old is eligible to play for Leicester.

It’s likely that he will be sent out on loan once again to get more first-team football elsewhere as there are too many options in the midfield department already.
