Good news Leeds Man Most likely available from the bench for Saturday’s match
Last week, Leeds United loanee Diego Llorente suffered a big injury scare in AS Roma’s Europa League clash against Feyenoord.
The defender suffered a head trauma that saw him come off in the 85th minute and put directly in a clinic to assess his situation.
The Leeds man had to stay overnight before being released the next day, and Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday suggest he is recovering well and could even be a part of Daniele De Rossi’s next league squad.
The newspaper do add his condition ‘must be assessed’ prior to the game against AC Monza, but the belief is he will recover ahead of their game on Saturday and ‘will go on the bench’.
That’s a quick turnaround for what was a worrying moment for the Spaniard, who is on loan in Rome from Leeds until the end of the season, with the Serie A side having the chance to make the move permanent for an affordable fee.
He has been a big part of their campaign to date, and even the change of manager from José Mourinho to Daniele De Rossi didn’t drastically affect his game time.
That will be good news for Leeds, who will want him back on a football pitch as soon as possible in hope they can either get the money from AS Roma or bring him back to either potentially use him in the Premier League or sell him on.
