Spurs to sign striker for £50 million who is “better than Erling Haaland in almost everything.
Tottenham Hotspur are the latest team to be linked with a move to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.
The Dutch centre-forward has been in the news a lot lately. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are said to be keen to sign him, while Manchester United have also been linked. Now, Tottenham reportedly have him on their radar as well.
Tottenham want to sign Joshua Zirkzee
Joshua Zirkzee has been one of the most impressive strikers in the Serie A this season. The 22-year-old has scored eight goals and provided four assists in all competitions so far.
Previously a part of Bayern Munich’s squad, Zirkzee is viewed as a player with huge potential, and he has been linked with a move to plenty of big clubs.
The Telegraph claimed recently that Bologna want a fee in the region of £50 million to let their star man leave, while Fabrizio Romano also suggested the same a few days later,
TuttoMercatoWeb share the latest on Zirkzee this week. They claim that AC Milan now want to sign the Dutchman, but he is on the radar of a few English clubs too.
We’ve already told you about Arsenal and Manchester United. Now, the report claims Tottenham Hotspur are interested in him as well and have him on their wish list.
Zirkzee is a huge talent
When you look at Joshua Zirkzee, you’d instantly think he’s a target man because of his 6ft 4 in frame. However, the Dutchman is surprisingly agile.
Bayern Munich did let him go 18 months ago, but they know all about Zirkzee’s potential. That is why they have a buy-back clause inserted in his deal.
The 22-year-old has a huge future ahead of him. He has already been compared to Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp. One journalist has even gone as far as saying he’s better than Erling Haaland.
Suleyman Ozturk claimed on Voetbal International in October 2022: “He’s better than Erling Haaland in almost everything, only the monster in him is missing.”
