All Agreement meet As spurs makes official confirmation
Tottenham Hotspur has officially confirmed that winger Ivan Perisic has been loaned to HNK Hajduk Split until the end of the season, marking the end of his tenure with Spurs.
Tottenham signed Perisic in last summer on a free transfer from Inter Milan, reuniting him with former manager Antonio Conte in North London.
During his debut season, he made 34 league appearances, contributing with one goal and eight assists. He has since joining, made 50 appearances across all competitions, contributing with one goal and providing 14 assists.
With the Croatian international in the final six months of his contract, this decision from Tottenham marks the end of his journey with Spurs.
The wide attacker has been sidelined since September due to an ACL injury, requiring surgery on his right knee following a training incident.
Under the management of Ange Postecoglou, the following season was expected to see Perisic play a key role in the team. He featured him in the campaign’s five games before the player suffered the unfortunate injury.
The 34-year-old was expected to return from the injury in April, but it now appears that Perisic may have already played his last game for Spurs.
Spurs announced that they have reached an agreement with the Croatian club. The club statement said:
“We have reached agreement with HNK Hajduk Split for the loan of Ivan Perisic for the remainder of the season. Good luck, Ivan!”
Perisic will now return to his childhood club, Hajduk Split, a move that holds sentimental value as it is located in his birthplace, where he spent his initial footballing career.
