Leny Yoro has been one of the revelations in Ligue 1 this season, becoming a regular in the team for Lille OSC despite being just 18 years old. The defender’s breakthrough performances have caught the attention of top clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid.

As reported previously, Real Madrid have scouted Yoro on multiple occasions already this season and see him as a possible target to reinforce the centre-back position in the summer transfer window.

But the competition for his signing is intense as the likes of Manchester United and PSG are also keen on the 18-year-old French prodigy.

PSG pushing to sign Yoro this month

In fact, PSG appaer to be the biggest hurdle in Real Madrid’s way in their pursuit of Leny Yoro from Lille.

As per Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, the reigning Ligue 1 champions are pushing hard to sign the 18-year-old defender in the current January transfer window itself, rather than waiting until the summer.

With Nordi Mukiele seemingly on his way to Bayern Munich, PSG would need to reinforce their backline and have made Yoro their priority target.

And their director, Luis Campos, is putting in all the efforts to sign the Real Madrid target despite Lille’s reluctance to sell him midway through the campaign.

As has been reported previously, Lille would demand at least €50 million for their teenage prospect. With PSG pushing hard, Real Madrid could end up missing out on the teenager unless they decide to make a move for him this month.
