Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Napoli reportedly submit an offer for Reds midfielder Orel Mangala amid interest from Juventus and Galatasaray

Napoli have “submitted an offer” to Nottingham Forest for midfielder Orel Mangala, according to reports.

The Reds man has been linked with a move away in recent days, with Turkish giants Galatasaray having reportedly made an offer. Italian clubs Juventus and Napoli have also been credited with interest, and it’s the latter who have now made their first move.

That’s according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, who is reporting that Napoli have made a bid to take him on loan for six months with an option to buy in the summer. Juventus, he says, “are also still pushing to sign” Mangala.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri is claiming that Napoli are “only” looking for a loan deal, and that Forest are looking to offload Mangala permanently this month. That contrast in stances could prove a sticking point for both clubs, perhaps paving the way for Galatasaray or Juventus.

Plettenberg posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Excl. News #Mangala: Napoli have submitted an offer about a 6-months-loan with an option to buy! Juventus is also still pushing to sign him in winter on loan! Talks and negotiations ongoing! Mangala, ready to leave Forest now!”

Tavolieri, meanwhile, said: “Been told Napoli’s looking only for a loan regarding that deal and that it’s #NFFC who’s looking to sell Orel Mangala’s this winter. Which explains why work on a departure for the player is currently underway…”
