Nottingham Forest
Orel Mangala hold talks with head coach Nuno about his future.
That is according to Netsport. uk, which has reported why Mangala is not particularly happy at Forest at the moment.
So, what has been reported about Nottingham Forest defensive midfielder Orel Mangala? Let’s take a look.
Orel Mangala to hold talks with Nuno over Nottingham Forest future
Well, according to Netsport.uk, Nottingham Forest defensive midfielder Orel Mangala is not particularly happy with his new manager at the club, Nuno.
Mangala was a regular under Steve Cooper and was one of the first names on the Forest teamsheet when he was fit and available.
However, under Nuno, who replaced Cooper as the Forest manager last month, the 25-year-old defensive midfielder is not starting regularly.
TMW has noted that Mangala has lost his place in the Forest starting lineup, pointing out that the Belgium international defensive midfielder played 45 minutes against Bournemouth, did not get much playing time against Manchester United, and was on the bench against Newcastle United and Blackpool.
The Italian news outlet has claimed that “in the next few days Mangala will confront the coach and management” over his future.
Juventus and Napoli want to sign the 25-year-old on a loan deal, according to TMW, which has added that Galatasaray are keen on him as well.
My View: Nottingham Forest should not offload Orel Mangala
In my opinion, Nottingham Forest should not offload Orel Mangala in the January transfer window. The Reds simply have to keep the defensive midfielder until the end of the season.
Yes, Nuno is not using Mangala in his starting lineup regularly, but that does not mean that Forest should sell him in January.
After all, Forest are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Mangala has done well for Forest, who need players like him and Neco Williams to make sure that they finish above the Premier League bottom three this season.
The midfielder has made 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored two goals and given one assist in those games.
