Crystal Palace to sign excellent Tottenham midfielder this month
Tottenham Hotspur have a number of players who are wanted by other clubs this month and reports now claim Crystal Palace want Oliver Skipp.
Skipp, 23, has been an important player for Ange Postecoglou this season, albeit he hasn’t quite established himself as a first XI regular.
The midfielder is expected to be needed more in January with both Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma both away on AFCON duty this month.
However, that hasn’t stopped interest growing, and according to Netsport.uk, Crystal Palace would love to take Skipp from Spurs if they could.

According to the report, Skipp is a player who is firmly on Palace’s radar this month.
However, while Palace would love to take Skipp, it’s caveated with the fact that he is unlikely to be available at all this month. Indeed, previous reports have suggested the player himself doesn’t want to move this month.
Ange Postecoglou is expected to use Skipp in Sarr and Bissouma’s absence, prolonging his stay in north London until the summer at the very least.
The report also says Palace want to take Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal as well. However, the Gunners ace is also likely to be let go this month.
Roy Hodgson and co, then, might have to look elsewhere and be a tad less ambitious in their search for new players.
Skipp will need to assess his future eventually
There’s clearly a very good player there in Oliver Skipp and there’s a reason he’s managed to stay around at Tottenham as long as he has.
However, at 24 next, he will be getting to a point where he’ll feel he wants to play a lot more than he is.
Skipp will have to assess the lay of the land then in the summer. Right now, it makes little sense for him to move on and while he would play at Palace, it’s still a strange move at this very moment.
Skipp has put in some ‘excellent‘ performances for Spurs at times. But there will definitely come a point where he’ll want more and that time might be coming.
