Nottingham Forest Kick-Off A New Deal Of The Season With Decision
Ryan Yates and Nottingham Forest have discussed Ryan Yates’s contract extension. The midfield player made his Premier League debut last season after rising through the ranks of the club’s youth.
Yates, 25, hasn’t been with the squad recently. Since the victory over Chelsea in September, the player has not started a game; Steve Cooper seems to have different ideas.
Ibrahim Sangare and Nicolas Dominguez have both been regulars in the team since their deadline day arrivals. Alongside them, the head coach has gone with Orel Mangala and he’s kicked on.
Forest open talks with Yates over new contract
The Reds still value the input of Yates and appreciate what the player brings to the squad. According to netsport Forest have already instigated talks and what the player to stay.
Yates has fought a constant battle to impress supporters since he came into the fold. To this day, he divides the fan base, with half buzzing when he gets minutes and the other wondering what he offers the team.
One thing that can’t be denied is the player’s commitment to the cause. Forest have always got maximum effort from Yates and that hasn’t gone unnoticed in the eyes of Cooper.
How long does Yates have on his existing City Ground deal
Right now, the midfielder’s contract is good until 2025. Considering this, there isn’t a compelling reason for Forest to bind Yates to anything.
Even though he hasn’t played much recently, the guy is a valuable member of the club. He is a big admirer, and Jamie Carragher described him as “fantastic” after his performance in a 1-1 tie with Chelsea last season.
Although Yates hasn’t featured much recently for Forest, he is still a capable player who can contribute when needed. He has elevated his career to a new level under Cooper’s guidance, so maybe an extension is warranted.
