OFFICIAL: Isaac Hayden leaves Newcastle, joins Norwich City on loan - Coming Home NewcastleEddie Howe’s Newcastle United side are flying high in the Premier League this season, indicating that the club’s recruitment department have continued to get things spot on in terms of player hires.

It doesn’t matter if you have a bottomless pool of money if you don’t know how to spend it wisely, as other clubs have learned, maybe most famously Chelsea.

The Magpies have been meticulous in their player acquisition, and Howe has been known to let go of players who don’t mesh with his style.

It’s really challenging to argue against the manager and his staff’s methods given how effectively they’ve performed over the past 18 months.

Isaac Hayden, a player signed by the previous administration but who wasn’t playing for the club, was one of the players who left in the summer.

Although joining Standard Liege might have seemed like an intriguing decision on the surface, the player had solid cause for it.

“Standard is a beautiful club with amazing supporters. They support in an amazing way. I’m pleased with my start, but we can do better, he said Walfoot.

Although I had choices in England, as I grew older, I wanted to try something new. At the end of the current season, I will be 29. The moment was ideal for me to take on a new challenge and compete in a new championship.

“With no disrespect to the Championship, I think I’m better than that when I’m at my best. I have played for three of the best teams in the division (Newcastle, Hull City and Norwich).

“I know what I can do when I am fit, and I preferred to change leagues to continue performing at a high level.”

It’s interesting to note that he hasn’t ruled out returning to Newcastle or any other English team that would be considering hiring him.

“In football, things may happen extremely quickly. I only have Standard on my mind right now, and we’ll see if I ever want to go back to England,” he continued.

However, it’s challenging to envision him having a place in St. James’ Park in the future. Eddie Howe didn’t select him for a specific reason, and that isn’t going to change as the club’s upward trend continues.
