Cooper Appreciate The 28-year-old returned to Premier League and made an immediate impact
The football player has had a challenging few months away from the field. Following certain betting violations earlier in his career, he had some charges looming over his head.
But all of it has now been resolved. Toffolo, a Forest player, will be eager to concentrate on playing football, and yesterday he showed just how much he still has to offer the Forest club.
Cooper raves about Forest defender Toffolo
The player entered the game yesterday at a challenging time. Immediately following Moussa Niakhate’s red card for a second bookable offense, he was introduced.
Within moments of his introduction, Toffolo had assisted an equalising goal for Forest. His teasing delivery saw Nicolas Dominguez head home to send the City Ground into pandemonium.
Following the game, Cooper has since made a statement regarding Forest defender Toffolo. He implied that he wasn’t particularly surprised that the seasoned player delivered when it counted.
He stated on Match of the Day 2: “Harry (Toffolo) has been out of the picture, he gets his head down and gets on with it, He’s an unbelievable professional, he’s probably the best crosser of the ball at the club, to be honest, with his delivery, and we saw that.”
Toffolo can play a part this season
Despite his performance yesterday, it does feel as though Toffolo is still the third-choice left-back these days. Ola Aina and Nuno Tavares were both missing through injury yesterday but they’re not thought to be serious problems.
That could leave Toffolo frustrated further down the line. However, all he can do is grasp any opportunity he does get with both hands and he definitely did that yesterday.
The pass was well placed, and Dominguez’s header was deft. Toffolo found it to be a pleasant Forest experience, and his joy was evident immediately following the goal.
A nice individual in the Forest dressing room is Toffolo. Cooper’s cameo performance from yesterday has given him some food for thought, and Tavares and Aina are once again under pressure to compete for a spot at left-back.
