Early Report News; Of Leeds United Decision as Joseph Paintsil explains

According to netsport report news of Leeds United summer transfer target,Then Joseph Paintsil has explained why he turned down advances from the Whites and Southampton. The Genk forward was the subject of a reported £8m bid from Leeds, but said he has Premier League ambitions.

“I’m still here,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws. “There were many rumors, many possibilities. When my agent said that I could go to Southampton and Leeds United, it quickly became clear to me that I did not want to leave Genk for those clubs.

“Look, every player has certain expectations. My dream is to one day play in the Premier League. Or at least in a top five European league. I don’t want to say that Southampton and Leeds are bad teams, but they couldn’t convince me. After my performances, I expected more last season.”

Weston McKennie claims one Leeds United boss didn’t ‘know who I was’

Weston McKennie feels one of his former managers at Leeds United ‘didn’t know’ who he was as he reflected on his disappointing loan spell. The USA international made the move to Elland Road in January, but failed to impress as the Whites succumbed to relegation.

McKennie joined a growing American contingent at United under Jesse Marsch, with Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson agreeing permanent switches at the start of the season. However, Marsch was dismissed within weeks of the Juventus star’s arrival, with the team sat above the relegation zone only on goal difference.

Javi Gracia was initially tasked with leading Leeds to survival, before Sam Allardyce was called upon to oversee the final four matches of the season. McKennie made 20 appearances for United, but revealed one of March’s successors did not know the midfielder before going to cite his instruction at set-pieces as evidence.

Leeds United squad for Millwall clash as five added but Spence a doubt

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has his biggest squad to choose from of the season as he prepares to lead his side out against Millwall at The Den. The Whites are in action a Sunday lunchtime kick-off today, looking for their second win of the campaign.

After spending much of the early part of the season struggling to even fill a substitute’s bench, Farke now has a host of options at his disposal. Firstly, the trio of Liam Cooper, Sam Byram and Daniel James are available again after injury and are available for this afternoon’s clash.

The Whites boss will also be able to call upon two new signings who did not make it in time for the draw with Sheffield Wednesday last time out. Midfielder Ilia Gruev is set for his first matchday squad, as is winger Jaidon Anthony, who arrived late on deadline day.
