Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is set to face the press ahead of his side’s Premier League opening weekend clash with Nottingham Forest, with questions likely on David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale.
Mikel Arteta is set to face the press ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League opening weekend fixture with Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium.
It’s been a busy week for the Gunners, who could well face their former goalkeeper Matt Turner on Saturday for his Forest debut after he sealed a £10million move earlier this week.
Turner’s exit has paved the way for David Raya to come in from Brentford. The Spaniard’s arrival is an initial loan for £3million that features an option for Arsenal to buy him for £27million next summer.
Raya’s introduction to the squad will see him come in to provide competition for current No.1 keeper Aaron Ramsdale, with both set to battle it out to be first choice.
We should get our first indication as Arteta announces his squad for the Gunners’ first game of the Premier League season as they seek to topple Manchester City in the title race after going close last time.
