As everyone knows, the PTPA, the association created by Novak Djokovic and Vasek Pospisil six years ago, has filed a lawsuit against the ATP, which was unveiled during the Miami Open. This decision has left both fans and insiders dumbfounded, as they await legal implications.

However, people were surprised when they learned that the Serbian legend’s name does not appear on the list of players who joined the complaint by putting their signature. Asked about this moment during the second Masters 1000 of the season, the former world number 1 had said that he agreed only on some points of that complaint while disagreeing on other aspects.

Speaking to ‘Front Office Sports’, his friend and colleague Pospisil confessed that he was very surprised by the statements of the 24-time Grand Slam champion: “I have to admit that I was speechless when I heard what he had said. I don’t know why he said those things, they didn’t match what he had said to me in our previous conversations.”

Djokovic will also play in Madrid

Despite being almost 38 years old and having won everything, Nole is still very focused on tennis and absolutely wants to win another Major title before ending his career. The 37-year-old from Belgrade had played excellent tennis in Miami, reaching the final without losing a single set and coming close to his 100th title. Only a stunning version of Jakub Mensik had prevented him from triumphing in Florida, but the Serbian seemed well on his way to returning to the top of the men’s tour.

However, his debut on the red clay at Monte Carlo was not as promising, and his performance against Alejandro Tabilo raised concerns among his admirers. Novak lacks motivation against the Chilean ace, who defeated him in Rome last year.

During his press conference, Djokovic apologised to the crowd and promised to play better in Madrid.
