JUST IN: Carlos Alcaraz In Press Conference Today Talked Angrily And “Bitterly” About 2025 Monte-Carlo Masters Which Will Take Place Between April 6 – April 13 And The…

Draw Monte-Carlo Masters 2025 featuring potential Djokovic-Wawrinka, Zverev-Berrettini and Alcaraz-Fognini ties in Monaco

The draw has been completed for the 2025 Monte-Carlo Masters which will take place between April 6 – April 13 in the beautiful Monagasque region of the principality of Monaco.

The defending champion is Stefanos Tsitsipas who as he often does returned to form last season with an epic run. He then went on to have further success in Barcelona in the week after this tournament. He has since also finally added a first ATP 500 title after winning nearly everything else.

Alexander Zverev though is top seed. He faced issues being the top player during the Golden Swing and failed to convert potential chances to be World No.1 so it will be interesting how he goes here. He faces Matteo Berrettini or a qualifier in the second round.

Jiri Lehecka or Sebastian Korda v Lorenzo Musetti or a qualifier is also in his section so rough as it comes for Zverev. Carlos Alcaraz is second seed after he has failed to play in this tournament in previous years. He faces Francisco Cerundolo, a staple of the South American clay court tournaments. He will be a danger. Or it will be Fabio Fognini after Alcaraz gets a bye.

Novak Djokovic will indeed play despite the turn around between tournaments and it could be an elder statesman type tie as he faces either Stan Wawrinka. Or the player who beat him in Rome last year, Alejandro Tabilo.

Tsitsipas as defending champion will face Jordan Thompson or big serving Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Alex de Minaur could take on the incredible clay court dominator in Sebastian Baez or Tomas Machac who is in form.

Jack Draper gets new status as fifth seed, he faces either Marcos Giron or Denis Shapovalov. Ben Shelton opens in a fun tie against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Casper Ruud will face either Roberto Bautista Agut or Brandon Nakashima.

Andrey Rublev too will face either Gael Monfils or a qualifier. Watch out also for Tallon Griekspoor v Arthur Fils. A superb tie to open it up.

Of those missing. Jannik Sinner of course isn’t playing. He is banned until Rome so Zverev is de facto top seed. While Jakub Mensik is taking the week off after winning Miami. Taylor Fritz is also out due to injury.
