JUST IN: Blues Boss Chris Davies Gave Reason For “Sudden Changes” In His Lineup And Vows To Be…

Northampton Town vs Birmingham City team news: Lineups named in League One

Chris Davies and Kevin Nolan have named their starting lineups and substitutes for this afternoon’s English third-tier clash at Sixfields.

Blues have a superb opportunity to move 17 points clear at the summit of the standings today as nearest challengers Wycombe Wanderers and Wrexham AFC play one another at Adams Park, also at 3pm.

Chris Davies’ side must find a response to earn three points today as they’ve failed to win either of their last two away games. Birmingham have been a formidable force at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park over recent weeks but stumbled away with a 0-0 draw at Reading and a 3-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers.

Northampton won’t be easy to beat, either, as they have lost just two of their last eight League One outings. The Cobblers also earned a point against Blues at St Andrew’s earlier in the season, scoring a last-gasp 96th minute equaliser through Mitch Pinnock.

Birmingham, eager to go one step better, have decided to make one change from the 2-1 midweek win over Stevenage, replacing Emil Hansson with Keshi Anderson. Northampton, meanwhile, have swapped out X of their starters from last week’s 2-1 victory at Leyton Orient.
