Was West Ham Coach “Furious” About His Star Did? Here Is The Whole…
West Ham fans will love what Jarrod Bowen told teammates during huddle ahead of kick-off vs Arsenal
Jarrod Bowen has been West Ham United’s best and most consistent player this season.
West Ham club captain Jarrod Bowen scored the winner away at Arsenal on Saturday, and he proved once again that he epitomises what playing for this great club means.
The Hammers earned a vital three points against the Gunners and to make the win even sweeter, Declan Rice looked absolutely lost on the bench after being hauled off by Mikel Arteta.
Graham Potter would have been delighted with the efforts of his team against Arsenal.
The West Ham head coach really hasn’t had an easy run of it since taking over at the London Stadium last month.
However, the victory against Arsenal has given everyone involved with the club a real sense of renewed optimism.
The cherry on the cake for the Hammers fans was the fact that George Earthy and Kaelan Casey were both in amongst the away fans at The Emirates.
And now Bowen has just opened up on something that happened before the game against Arsenal began that will make the West Ham fans even happier!
What Jarrod Bowen told West Ham teammates before Arsenal
Bowen is by far and away West Ham’s best player.
He is slowly growing into his role as club captain as well by displaying real leadership.
If Potter is to have any chance of succeeding at the London Stadium, he needs his skipper to really lead by example.
And boy did he do that against Arsenal on Saturday.
Bowen spoke to reporters after the game, and shared the brilliant message he gave to his teammates prior to kick-off, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“That was one thing I said before in the huddle before kick-off, that we knew we could come here and win as we’ve done it before. They [Arsenal] are a top side, but we knew that if we came here and did a really good job, we’d come away with three points, and we’ve done that. I think you’ve seen that [commitment and desire] out there today.“
That’s fantastic to hear, and it’s obvious to see that Jarrod is becoming more of a leader with every week that passes.
After that win against Arsenal, the Hammers now have a chance to build some real momentum, with a home game against Leicester to come on Thursday night.
West Ham haven’t won two Premier League games in a row all season long, and Jarrod Bowen will obviously be desperate to ensure that all changes when he and his teammates welcome the Foxes to the London Stadium.
Hopefully the win against Arsenal will prove to be the catalyst that everyone involved with the Hammers needed to really kick on now.
And with Jarrod Bowen on top form, we have every chance of finishing inside the top half of the table this season.
