SHOCKING: The Truth Of Matheus Cunha’s Actions In The Saturday’s “Clash” Revealed, And This…

VIDEO: Matheus Cunha rips glasses off Ipswich security staff! Wolves star faces threat of FA punishment after more chaotic scenes & post-match Premier League scuffles

Matheus Cunha could be in hot water with the FA after the Wolves star ripped glasses off an Ipswich Town security guard during a post-match scuffle.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Wolves simply cannot steer clear of controversial moments this season amid their disastrous start to the Premier League campaign. The Wolverhampton-based side are stuck down in 19th place after their loss to fellow relegation battlers Ipswich Town, as Jack Taylor scored in injury time to give Gary O’Neil’s side their 11th loss in 16 league clashes. After that contest a scuffle broke out with Cunha getting involved as he put his hands on a member of Portman Road’s security team, who had been attempting to calm the situation, and ripping glasses from his face in the process.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The scuffle started as Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri was shown a second yellow after losing his temper. The Mirror has now reported that Cunha could face a potential investigation by the English Football Association (FA) and may be stung with severe punishment for his attack on the Ipswich Town security staff member, depending on whether referee Simon Hooper includes the incident in his match report. Former Premier League referee Mike Dean told Sky Sports that Cunha could be in trouble, saying: “Going back to the suspension. Cunha, the biggest player that they’ve got. I’ve watched the footage back afterwards. He elbows the back of the head of one of the Ipswich coaches. Then he pulls his glasses off and throws them to the pitch. For me, I think he’ll be in trouble with the FA

WHAT NEXT FOR WOLVES?

O’Neil’s side was also embroiled in controversy after their loss to West Ham last week. with Mario Lemina getting stripped of his captaincy by Wolves after his post-match altercation. The English manager, himself, may not be in the post of head coach for much longer as talk of a potential sack call has been doing the rounds.
