REVEALED! West Brown Albion Boss Carlos Corberan On Contempt About His “Nearest” Future, Where Did He…
“If there was a time” – Bold West Brom prediction made on Carlos Corberan, Leicester City speculation
West Bromwich Albion head coach Carlos Corberan is once again being linked with the vacant managerial position at Leicester City.
Corberan first emerged on Leicester’s radar in the summer following Enzo Maresca’s move to Chelsea, but the Foxes eventually ended up appointing Steve Cooper, and the Spaniard remained at The Hawthorns.
However, after winning just four of his 14 games in charge, Cooper was sacked on Sunday with the club sitting 16th in the Premier League table, one point clear of the relegation zone
According to journalist Alan Nixon, Graham Potter and David Moyes are on Leicester’s list of targets to replace Cooper, but both would need persuading to take over at the King Power Stadium.
Spanish outlet Marca claim that the Foxes also remain keen on Corberan, and they have reportedly approached West Brom about the 41-year-old and are willing to meet his €2.5 million (£2 million) release clause.
Corberan has been in charge of the Baggies since October 2022, and he led them to a fifth-placed finish in the Championship last season, but they suffered heartbreak as they were beaten by Southampton in the play-off semi-finals.
Albion made an outstanding start to this season under Corberan as they won five and drew one of their first six games, and while they have drawn seven of their last eight games, they remain firmly among the promotion contenders.

When asked if he was concerned by reports linking Corberan with Leicester, FLW’s West Brom fan pundit Callum Burgess insisted that he expects him to remain loyal to the Baggies, especially as we’re not even midway through a season.
“I think while Leicester may be prepared to meet the compensation fee necessary to start talks with Corberan, ultimately it’s going to depend on whether or not he wants to join another uncertain situation when he’s just been able to get out of one at West Brom following the recent takeover by Shilen Patel,” Callum said.
“He does seem to have a great relationship with our new owner, and Patel has done a lot of things to try to keep Corberan happy, such as bringing in Mikey Johnston, who was his top target in the summer, and investing in the training pitch.
“Patel has done a lot to try to keep Corberan happy while trying to get out of the deep end of Guochuan Lai’s era at the club.
“If there was a time for Corberan to leave, it would have been under Lai when it could have been easy for him to walk away from the club.
“I think there’s a bit of loyalty that Corberan has with the club that wouldn’t see him leave in the middle of a season unless there’s an opportunity that is too good to refuse came up for him.
“Whether or not that is Leicester remains to be seen as they are more than likely going to be relegated back to the Championship this season, and Carlos might want to wait for a more stable opportunity like an Everton.
“It would be really difficult for him to keep Leicester up this season, and he would more than likely would be managing in the Championship next season.
“I think if he was to leave Albion any time soon, I think it would be in the off-season rather than in the middle like it is now.”
