WOLVES: Another Hidden Truth About The “Unusual” Player Of Wolverhampton Revealed All, He Has What They…

Fulham boss Marco Silva claims Wolves have a ‘quality’ player who is ‘not easy to control’

Wolves want to record their second win on the board when they travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham.

A win over Southampton before the international break eased some tension around Molineux, especially after Wolves kept their first clean sheet.

Defence has been Gary O’Neil’s biggest problem this term, conceding 27 goals in 11 games, while in attack, it’s a completely different story.

The Old Gold have scored the second most goals of any team in the Premier League’s bottom half (16), with Matheus Cunha having a hand in seven of those strikes – five goals and two assists.

Cunha has been the shining light for Wolves this term but he isn’t the only one who has impressed in attack, as Marco Silva explained in his pre-match press conference.

Marco Silva hails Jorgen Strand Larsen as ‘quality’

When O’Neil captured Jorgen Strand Larsen on loan from Celta Vigo in the summer, he was finally handed the physical striker he’d been longing for.

Strand Larsen – who has been compared to Erling Haaland – has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, scoring four goals in 11 league appearances.

Ian Wright thinks Strand Larsen has made a difference and he isn’t the only one who has praised the Norwegian, with Fulham boss Silva dubbing him a real handful for defenders.

Speaking in Friday’s pre-match conference via Fulham’s website, the Portuguese manager said: “It’s a team, in my opinion, that has quality. They have a lot of individual quality, real Premier League quality there, players that can be decisive in any moment of the game.

“They have a good striker, a striker that is not easy to control. The way he holds the ball, the way he is capable to go running behind two in the box. He is a strong player, too.”

Strand Larsen is Wolves new Raul Jimenez

Silva fears the threat of Strand Larsen at Craven Cottage, and he’ll play a vital role in protecting the ball for the visitors and linking up with his teammates.

The 24-year-old is arguably the best striker at Molineux since Raul Jimenez after he left to join Fulham from Wolves in 2023.

Jimenez became an instant hero in Wolverhampton for his incredible touch in front of goal, reaching double-digit hauls in back-to-back campaigns – 13 in 2018/19 and 17 in 2019/20.

Although a skull injury in November knocked him out of his stride, the 33-year-old is still fondly remembered at Molineux, with Strand Larsen now capable of crafting a similar legacy.

Jimenez netted 57 goals and supplied 23 assists across 166 appearances for Wolves and he’s now in red-hot form for the Cottagers.

The veteran striker has hit the same number of goals this term as Strand Larsen – 4 in 11 matches – and both players will be looking to add to their totals this weekend.
