Dan Ballard and Trai Hume stats for Northern Ireland vs Belarus
Neither player had much defending to do on the night, it seems, with Hume recording four defensive actions and Ballard just two.
Hume recorded one clearance, one interception, and two tackles, whilst Ballard made a clearance and a block.
Hume did record the fourth-most touches of any player on the night (71), and the third-most passes (48 out of 58 attempted), compared to Ballard who had the fifth-most touches (68) but the second-most accurate passes (53 out of 57).
For the upcoming Championship clash at Millwall, Hume is suspended for Sunderland, and so Regis Le Bris will be pleased he’s staying match-fit on international duty.
Whether or not Ballard comes into the side remains to be seen with Luke O’Nien and Chris Mepham impressing in the middle of defence.
