Immediately after Southgate left his post, Eddie Howe was linked with the England job. Since then, various pundits have called on him to leave Newcastle United and take charge of the Three Lions.
Jamie Carragher has backed Howe to become England manager on multiple occasions. Elsewhere, Gary Neville believes Howe should take the England job, almost hinting that he has achieved all he can at St James’ Park.
That certainly is not the case, and Newcastle United fans are desperate for Howe to continue in his role on Tyneside.
And a new report from Sky Sports increases the likelihood of Eddie Howe remaining in charge at St James’ Park.
