Championship Predictions (Leeds to win 2-1); ‘Leeds have another tough home game here against Coventry’

Published

Regardless of how Coventry have started, this won’t be an easy game by any means even if we manage to come away with three points.

They’re a physically very competitive side with solid organisation from front the back that will cause problems no matter what.

It’s up to Leeds to keep building on the results and clean sheets we’ve picked up in recent games, and start to flex our muscles in home games.

Leeds United host Coventry City in West Yorkshire this weekend looking to make it four wins out of five games, but face a significant test against the Sky Blues.

Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers: David Prutton's prediction

Mark Robins’ Coventry City are sitting low down the table at the moment after a poor start to the season, but Leeds manager Daniel Farke is under no illusions about the challenge that faces his side on Saturday.

Injuries are not helping either side coming into Saturday afternoon’s kick-off, but it promises to be a very intriguing contest regardless.

The Sky Blues sitting in 19th and Leeds sitting in sixth doesn’t tell the whole picture of where these two sides are fancied to be by the end of the season.

Coventry were one of only four Championship sides that were unbeaten against Leeds last season, taking four points from Farke’s men across two games, including a draw at Elland Road against the run of play.

Sky Sports host David Prutton has issued his latest predictions for this weekend’s Championship action, in which he thinks the pressure will mount on Coventry to kick into gear, while Leeds make it four wins in five games.
