Real Madrid Are Ready To Pay huge Amount For Nottingham Star
Real Madrid are claimed to be looking to the Premier League in their search for another centre half, with Nottingham Forest’s Murillo said to be on their list of targets.
Ever since arriving from Corinthians for £11m, Murillo has produced eye-catching performances at the heart of Forest’s defence. This has earned him plenty of admirers up and down the country, the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea most heavily linked, but ultimately he opted to stay put at the ‘best place’ for his career.
Now the 22-year-old has shown no signs of stopping his growth, establishing a new partnership with summer recruit Nikola Milenkovic in the early weeks of the 2024/25 season to help the club remain unbeaten and even keep a clean sheet in that recent historic win at Anfield. According to HITC, this has earned him a fresh wave of interest from the 15-time European champions.
They claim that after missing out on the signing of 18-year-old Leny Yoro to Manchester United during the recent summer window, the La Liga giants have diverted their attention to the top-drawer talent on offer in the Premier League. Murillo in particular is proving an attractive alternative for his developing presence and passing ability.
Forest will no doubt wish to hold onto their star talent for as long as possible, and can at least take comfort from the latest rumour suggesting their defender is not the only one Los Blancos have their eyes on. Arsenal’s William Saliba, Tottenham’s Cristian Romero and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite are all also speculated to be on Carlo Ancelotti’s list.
However, even if it is not Real, Forest have been warned of alternative interest they could be forced to fend off. As well as Premier League rivals, the latest report names current La Liga leaders Barcelona and German giants Bayern Munich to be in the hunt as well.
