DEAD LINE; Dreadful Truth Behind Soler straight loan to West Ham Been Exposed

Because the Hammers spokesman confirmed the deals for Aguerd, Ward-Prowse and Cornet have no private agreements attached.

There is no doubt West Ham did some excellent business during the transfer window. The Hammers brought in nine players, many of them top quality.

There may yet be another to follow as West Ham look at the free agent market in the search for a centre-back. But just as importantly, the club ensured key stars such as Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen and Edson Alvarez remained at the London Stadium.

A total of 12 players were moved on as technical director Tim Steidten completely overhauled West Ham’s squad for new head coach Julen Lopetegui.

One player the Spaniard was desperate to bring in was midfielder Carlos Soler from PSG. The 27-year-old former Valencia star was a regular in the Spain squad under West Ham’s manager.

The pair spoke at length as West Ham negotiated with PSG over a deal.

In the end Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, James Ward-Prowse and Maxwel Cornet all departed West Ham on deadline day. And that helped pave the way for Soler to come in.

“I think that Carlos Soler is a good player and he is going to help us, for sure,” Lopetegui told West Ham’s website about the new arrival.

“He is maybe at his best age, as he’s 27, he has international experience and is a very good player.

“He has a good profile for us as he can play in different positions and I think he is going to help us to be better.”

But for how long?

It had been claimed Soler would be signing a two-year loan with West Ham having an obligation to buy him.

But when the deal was announced by the Irons and Ligue 1 side, it was stated it is for a single season and there was no mention of an obligation or option to buy.

That disappointed many West Ham fans, who have questioned the idea of having a player on loan with no end game or prospect of the deal becoming permanent.

It the short-termism that is frowned upon by supporters.

For the same reason, Hammers fans were bemused why no option or obligation clauses were included in the deals which saw Aguerd, Ward-Prowse and Cornet depart for Real Sociedad, Forest and Southampton.

That raised hopes a permanent deal can be negotiated with PSG – where he has a contract until 2027 – over the course of his season-long loan.

Especially if he performs well and becomes a key player.

But there’s terrible news from West Ham about the brand new signing and three other deals.

The truth behind the Soler deal has been revealed by the top spokesman inside the club.

Speaking to Hammers News the key senior West Ham contact revealed why a permanent deal for Soler will be almost impossible.

And it has become perfectly clear why it is just a straight loan.

The West Ham spokesman has revealed Soler is indeed on a staggering wage at PSG which will be impossible for the club to match.
