Marseille interested in AC Milan’s Yacine Adli

According to a report by Foot Mercato, Olympique de Marseille are interested in AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli (24) as they look to add to their midfield rotation.

Marseille have been keen to strengthen their squad this summer and have been highly active during the window bringing in 10 recruits to the team. This has included reinforcements in the centre of the park such as Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (29) and Ismaël Koné (22).

However, Foot Mercato writes that with Jordan Veretout (31) placed in the “loft” and expected to leave before the end of the transfer window on the 30th of August, the club would be keen to add one more midfielder to their side.

Adli is considered a perfect addition by the club after his breakthrough season with AC Milan last year. The versatile midfielder excelled when used as a defensive midfielder for Stefano Pioli and made 33 appearances across all competitions for the Italian club.

Marseille are not the only team in the market for Yacine Adli

However, Marseille are far from the only team interested and the French outlet explains that they would face stiff competition from several Italian sides for the midfielder who has represented France in the under-age brackets.
