But once again the fans were able to get their photo and autograph requests fulfilled. It was a great time together here, but we’re used to it.

After lunch, we hit the road. Two buses took the team to Bozen at different times. This is where the up-and-coming second division team FC Südtirol is based, and they had invited them to a three-way tournament. In addition to the hosts and VfL, FC Bologna was also there. Much to the delight of our organized supporters. The ultras of the two clubs have been friends for several years. So it’s not surprising that they met in advance in Bozen and watched the games together in the block. But first, let’s take a chronological look at the games.

Toto Losilla and Cristian Gamboa on one side, Alessandro Crimaldi and Kacper Koscierski on the other. It was the two youngsters’ first ever appearance with the pros, but they did really well. They still lost. In the match, which was played over 2×30 minutes, the hosts scored once early and once late. The blue-whites still had their moments, earning a number of set pieces. The blue and whites were superior throughout the game and created real pressure. Broschinski and de Wit scored again after the break – an impressive 4-0, which could have been even higher.

This is how we played:

Goals : 1:0 Sissoko (6th), 2:0 Broschinski (9th), 3:0 Broschinski (49th), 4:0 de Wit (55th)

The coach is happy

Peter Zeidler was accordingly satisfied afterwards. Intensive days are coming to an end, the coach’s conclusion about VfLinBruneck 2024 – who was with us in South Tyrol for the first time – was positive. We brought Peter in front of the camera again after the second game. You can hear his words here . By the way: Bologna’s 1-0 victory in the final game secured our victory in the tournament! A trophy was not presented, but we then visualized it with our endless imagination.
