‘A Complicated Deal’! Will Spurs Allow Their Important Star Leave For The Coming Of The New Signing?

Juventus winger Federico Chiesa appears to have no future at the club amid interest from a number of clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

The final month of the transfer window is now here and Tottenham Hotspur surely still have business to complete.

The signings of Lucas Bergvall and Timo Werner were a great start to the window before Archie Gray arrived from Leeds United.

Tottenham then signed Yang Min-hyuk, but the South Korean wonderkid will only leave Gangwon in January.

Three of Tottenham’s last four signings have been teenagers and that look towards the future may well reap rewards.

Spurs fans would no doubt love to see some more proven players arrive though and one potential target appears to be available…

A striker may be in the minds of Tottenham supporters but a wide man has been touted too.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported last week that Tottenham have a ‘concrete interest’ in signing Juventus wide man Federico Chiesa.

HITC understands that Newcastle United and Tottenham are just two of the clubs with an interest in signing Chiesa.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool are also taking a look at Chiesa though with no move advanced with any club just yet.

Chiesa was due to meet with Juve boss Thiago Motta to discuss his future and the result of those talks has now become apparent.

The winger has not involved as Juve faced French side Brest on Saturday with Motta now explaining why.

“Chiesa and all the other players not called up for today’s game are not part of the project,” said Motta, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano. “We have been clear with them, they have to find new solution and new club as soon as possible. The decision has been made,” he added.

Chiesa is out of contract in 2025 and Juventus clearly want to sell now rather than see him leave for nothing.

Fabio Paratici would love Chiesa move

Tottenham may well consider a swoop for Chiesa in the final weeks of the transfer window, potentially viewing him as a bargain given his contract situation.

The 26-year-old is an exciting wide man at his best but a major knee injury in 2022 has set him back.

Tottenham have plenty to weigh up after Motta’s comments and one man who may push for a deal is Fabio Paratici.

Paratici may no longer be Tottenham’s managing director of football but he has has occasionally operated as a consultant to Spurs.

The Italian certainly knows Chiesa well having signed him for Juventus back in 2020.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport in 2021, Paratici admitted that he thinks Chiesa is a ‘special’ player.

Chiesa has had a big injury since then but Paratici has held a long-standing admiration for the winger – and if Spurs are still utilising his services, a bid this month would not be a huge surprise.

Juventus drop key Federico Chiesa transfer hint amid Newcastle and Tottenham interest

HITC has reported that Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in Juventus’ Federico Chiesa this summer.

We had also reported that Chiesa was set to hold talks with new Juventus manager Thiago Motta about his future at the Turin club with Juventus failing to agree a new deal with Chiesa this summer.

Sources have confirmed to HITC that the current offer on the table to Chiesa is below his expectations.

If a new deal for Chiesa is not agreed, then Juventus have informed him and his representatives that they would look to sell him this summer.

The future of Chiesa is certainly unclear with the Italian winger potentially available for £25-30 million this summer which is certainly a bargain for a player of his quality.

Juventus had previously been told to not sell Chiesa this summer but it appears the Italian giants have made their decision.

According to a post from Fabrizio Romano on X, Chiesa has been left out of Juventus’s squad for today’s game against French side Stade Brest.
