Sheffield United are finalising the loan signing of Wolves defender Ki-Jana Hoever on Friday as he completes a medical, sources have told Netsport.uk

The Blades have reached a full agreement with the Midlands-based Premier League outfit to land the ex-Liverpool star after they accepted the loan offer

The 22-year-old started his medical at Sheffield United on Thursday and should complete it on Friday, as the signing is expected to be officially announced imminently.

The Championship side have been looking for a new right-back in this window after selling Jayden Bogle to Leeds.

Hoever joined Wolves in 2020 but has struggled to secure a regular first-team position since then, having made just 25 appearances.

His current deal at Molineux Stadium expires in 2026, and he is now looking to gain more regular football at Sheffield United.

Sheffield United will bolster their defensive options with Ki-Jana Hoever

Hoever comes off the back of an impressive loan spell at Stoke City, where he proved his capability of playing in the Championship.

The right-back made 44 appearances for the Potters last season, being a crucial part of the defensive setup.

His signing will provide Chris Wilder with a strong right-back option as he aims to guide the Blades back to the Premier League.

t has been a busy transfer window for the club, who have already signed Harrison Burrows, Callum O’Hare and Kieffer Moore.

The Blades will commence their Championship campaign on 9th August away to Preston North End.
