Leeds United have launched their away kit on Wednesday morning with the overwhelming consensus being that it’s one of the best in recent memory.

One exciting development in every pre-season is the club getting to unveil the kits for the upcoming season, and there is one standout change this year.

The sponsor this time around being Red Bull, with a huge front-and-centre logo dominating the home strip, divides opinion but Adidas look to have hit it out of the park with the away kit.

A bright yellow number with a smart collar, blue and white sleeve detailing and the iconic ‘Smiley’ badge included, it’s a kit that has already likely sold incredibly well, going down a treat amongst fans that have been crying out for a yellow and blue kit for some time:

Red Bull’s sponsor has been tweaked to a tonal effort that matches the colour scheme of the jersey itself, and the kit itself represents the first true yellow and blue kit since the 18/19 third kit under Marcelo Bielsa.

Junior Firpo reacts to Leeds’ brand new kit with delight

One of those from the first team that modelled the kit upon launch was left-back Junior Firpo, and he is buzzing with the new kit.

He shared this message on social media:

It’s not that hard to make an away kit that the Leeds fans will resonate with and purchase in their thousands.

One of the main things is making it yellow and blue, or vice versa, with a fairly simplistic pattern like this number.

Add to that a nod to our heritage and you’ve got a kit that will break records amongst the fans like this one surely will.
