Bundesliga player recreates Dani Alves’ famous banana gesture – this time with chocolate coins
Bochum forward and Japan international Takuma Asano ate one of the chocolate coins thrown on the pitch by Union Berlin fans during a Bundesliga game.
This reminds us of how Dani Alves reacted to a banana thrown onto the pitch by Villarreal fans – the Brazilian started eating it right at a corner flag.
While Dani did it to protest against racism, the Japanese player probably did it to react to Union fans’ own protest – their supporters have stood up against the league’s plan to bring investors to the German top divisions. Several other ‘traditional’ Bundesliga clubs have joined the protest too, but not Bochum.
Or maybe Takumi was simply too hungry and couldn’t resist enjoying some milk chocolate!
