JUST IN: Another Star set To Leave Leeds United

Leeds United right-back Rasmus Kristensen is on the shortlist of Eintracht Frankfurt this month, as they bid to add a new defender to their ranks.

Leeds’ squad this summer is going to be bolstered by the return of Brenden Aaronson from his Union Berlin loan, utilising his relegation loan clause to move away.

There are two others that could be back in the squad too as things stand, one of them being right-back Rasmus Kristensen.

Rasmus Kristensen in Eintracht Frankfurt shortlist – Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano has revealed this week that Kristensen is now subject to interest from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

The German side have signed Robin Koch permanently on a pre-contract agreement off the back of his successful loan away from Elland Road, where his contract expired at the end of last season.

Kristensen does not have another clause in his contract to leave on loan, meaning any transfer away will be on the 49ers’ terms it seems.

The Dane signed a five-year deal from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2022, as the Whites paid £10million for his services – meaning he has three years left on his deal.

Kristensen should be worth selling if a club can offer the right sum

Kristensen is nowhere near good enough for the Premier League, but could probably do a job for us in the Championship as backup to a Jayden Bogle, for example.

However, if a club is willing to take him off our hands for a solid fee, then we are surely going to be looking to sell.

He tarnished his reputation with the fans by leaving on loan, and not many will have forgiven him for that, alongside the poor performances too.
