LATEST NEWS: Will Alphonso Davies Be Going To Bochum? Here Is The Truth
Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies is on quite a run as the captain for Canada in the CONMEBOL Copa American 2024 tournament.
The Canadians will face-off with Argentina in the semifinals on Tuesday at 8:00PM EDT at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but that is not the only news going on for Davies these days.
According to a report from kicker journalist Georg Holzner, Davies is inclined to move on from Bayern Munich this summer — the latest twist in a “will he” or “won’t he” saga that also involves Real Madrid
❗️ According to @kicker information, the current trend for Alphonso #Davies is that he will leave the club this summer. #fcbayern ⚪️
At this stage, it is still too hard to predict what will happen with Davies, but this does feel like a summer where the Bavarians are going to try and refresh the roster a bit. With other players who can play left-back still on the roster, maybe the time has come for Davies and Bayern Munich to part ways.
If Davies does leave, Hiroki Ito, Noussair Mazraoui, Raphaël Guerreiro, Josip Stanišić, and Adam Anzou could all get looks at the position. While Real Madrid is clearly the favorite to land Davies, it would not be shocking to see several Premier League clubs at least kick the tires on the 23-year-old.
