John Wenham: ‘Talented’ Tottenham Youngsters could sign for Birmingham
John Wenham claims Birmingham City could sign several “talented” Tottenham youngsters on loan after a recent announcement.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lliywhite Rose feels that St Andrew’s could be a perfect loan destination for some of the club’s younger players.
It comes after Birmingham City announced (6 June) that Chris Davies had been appointed as the club’s first-team manager.
After spending a season as Ange Postecoglou’s Senior Assistant Coach, Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Davies could utilise his connections with Spurs.
“Birmingham City could be an ideal club for some of our talented young players to join,” Wenham said.
“They’re a massive club and will arguably be the biggest club in EFL League One next season.
“Our young players would therefore be joining an attacking, possession-based team with a big following behind them.
Could Tottenham send players on loan to Birmingham City?
Tottenham have several exciting players within the club’s academy.
As a result, some of these players might benefit from being sent out on loan and getting some valuable first-team experience under their belts.
And there wouldn’t be many better places for them to do this than St Andrew’s.
Birmingham City are a big club and will therefore likely be competing for the League One title next season.
As a result, the players would be playing with a manager they know well in a high-stakes environment, which would offer them invaluable experience.
In other Tottenham news, the club are in advanced talks to sign a new striker this summer.
