LATEST; Graham Potter Rejected By Leicester City, Not In The Opposite Way.

According to a report, Leicester City actually turned down the chance to have Graham Potter as the new Foxes manager. Apparently the situation wasn’t the other way around, as some pundits and fans presumed. The ex-Chelsea boss was reportedly close to taking the King Power role before an agreement fell apart at the eleventh hour.

In addition to looking at that story, FoL report on the possibility of a high profile centre back signing on Filbert Way. Will Wales international Joe Rodon join countryman and the latest LCFC boss Steve Cooper in England’s east Midlands?

Now that Cooper has officially taken the hot seat at Leicester, hearsay will amplify. The Foxes must strengthen their squad if they are to have any chance of survival, as Foxes of Leicester see the situation. But first of all, the Foxes supposedly have to sell some (or one, namely Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall) of their best players for profit to satisfy Financial Fair Play rules.

The former Nottingham Forest head coach did ensure that the central Midlands club to survived in his maiden year in the Premier League. Therefore, in spite of a few worrying signs, there is a bit of positivity surrounding the controversial appointment too.

The initial link is with Rodon now that Cooper is at the helm at LCFC. To be fair, Leicester were connected with an interest in the 26-year-old prior to Enzo Maresca’s successor arriving. The Spurs man has been out in the wilderness for the majority of his career at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It is claimed that Ange Postecoglou is not interested in integrating Rodon into his side, similarly to before. The latter is meant to be valued at approximately £10 million; despite being out of favour at THFC, the centre half is still rated. He is expected to leave the north London outfit this summer.

Leicester reportedly have Ipswich Town, Leeds United and Southampton as competitors for Rodon’s signature. Yet Cooper has worked with the former at Swansea City. The gaffer is admittedly a fan of the footballer, and expressed the instinct that the defender would even improve when at the highest level.
